Supporting Organization

I-MANIn a nutshell, i-MAN is the vehicle by which subscribers (usually education, government, industry, and business), can use high speed fiber optic digital services AND contribute to their local economies by supporting local community funds at the Steuben County Community Foundation. For each connection and lease service fee i-MAN invoices, a 10% contribution is made to support charitable grants for community projects and programs. i-MANThere are Community Funds in Angola, Ashley/Hudson, Clear Lake, Fremont, Hamilton, Helmer, Metz, Pleasant Lake, Orland, and Salem Center. In other words, "profits" of the corporation are not paid to any individual or business- they are re-invested into ongoing capital support and community grantmaking.

Applications for i-MAN might include data storage, disaster recovery, video monitoring, distance learning, training, health care technology, and others, providing fast &secure connections.

For more information about the technology, call Bill Geiger at (260) 495-2611, or if you'd like to hear more about this interesting form of philanthropy, call our office.
