Foundation Staff Increases by Two July 15, 2008 Contact: Sharon Stroh, President & CEO For Immediate Release 260.665.6656 or sstroh@steubenfoundation.org Angola, IN- The Steuben County Community Foundation has hired two new additions to its staff, making a total of six full and part time employees. Bill Stockberger is the Foundation’s new Grant Administrator. As a 10-year resident of Steuben County, Bill has been a very active volunteer in the community helping several nonprofit organizations. He is also a sports broadcaster for local high school football and basketball games. Bill has worked his entire career in the service industry; 19 as a customer service and sales manager in the electric industry, five years at Tri State University in the development department, and five years as a golf professional. Pam Harger begins her tenure as the Foundation’s Youth Program Associate. Having spent the past 12 years as the FIST guide from Hamilton Community Schools, she is well prepared for the new duties that come with this advancement. In recent years, she has also played a role in youth leadership development with Laurie Stewart Productions by helping create curriculum for the program entitled “Connect Effect”, empowering students to be the best version of themselves possible, and encouraging them to positively impact their world. “We are excited to add such talented individuals to our staff. There is tremendous potential for the Foundation to do its best work in the coming years with this team” says Sharon Stroh, President and CEO. The Community Foundation just completed its 15th year in business and moved into a new building located at 1701 N. Wayne St. They will be hosting an Angola Chamber Business After Hours event on August 14th, but will not have its grand opening event until sometime in October. “We decided to take advantage of a vacancy in the Chamber schedule when it was offered to us, but there are so many people to whom we owe our gratitude from around the county, that we want to wait and plan for the open house in a much bigger way” says Stroh. Regarding the move, Stroh says “It was a joy to be in the downtown area for 13 years, but our neighbors on north Wayne St. have been gracious in welcoming us, and we think we’ll enjoy it there too”. |
