Meet the team
Jacqui was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. Before moving to Steuben County, she worked for the Cuyahoga County Department of Health and Human Services for 30 years, retiring in 2013. While also raising her three sons, Jacqui earned her Associate’s degree in Business Management from Cuyahoga County Community College, her Bachelor’s degree in human services from Baldwin Wallace University, and took Master’s classes in Sociology and Psychology at Cleveland State University. She moved to Angola to join her husband, Joe, when he received a promotional transfer to Bon Appetit at Trine University.
Prior to joining the staff at SCCF, Jacqui didn’t have much background knowledge about community foundations. Her experience was limited to researching scholarships from The Cleveland Foundation, which is the first and one of the largest community foundations in the country. Now a seasoned SCCF staff member, Jacqui enjoys working with nonprofits to help them develop proposals that say exactly what they need and will present themselves in a shining light for the grants committee. She appreciates the opportunities to meet community leaders and see their work first-hand through site visits and meetings. In addition to organizing the various grantmaking committees at SCCF, Jacqui also makes sure that the scholarship process runs smoothly. She enjoys working with students on their applications and talking with donors about their scholarship funds. Her favorite part is seeing students who worked hard to better themselves receive their awards at school ceremonies each year and organizing an opportunity for donors to meet the students who are impacted by their generosity.
Jacqui is the treasurer of Kappa Kappa Kappa – Zeta Upsilon. In her free time, she likes to read, enjoy time outside with her two dogs, Charley and Sammy, and visit with her family and friends. Jacqui travels to Ohio and Minnesota to visit her two sons and two grandchildren, but the welcoming people of Steuben County have made Jacqui and Joe excited to call this their home.
You can contact Jacqui by calling her at 260-665-6656 or sending her an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by stopping in the office to see her. Visitors are always welcome!
