Meet the team

Rob Moreland
Board of Directors
“I believe community service and involvement is something everyone should do.”
Rob Moreland grew up nearby in Auburn, but he has been visiting Steuben County since 1972 when his family purchased a lake place on Jimmerson. They spent their summers at the lake, and 19 years ago Rob decided to move there permanently.
Rob attended Anderson University and graduated from Mauer School of Law at Indiana University Bloomington. Eight years ago he started his own private law practice, focused on employment law for companies of various shapes and sizes. In his work, he does a lot of training for supervisors, managers, and HR directors and associates.
Rob shared that he looks forward to providing some legal background for SCCF and potentially assisting with some nonprofit capacity building series workshops. In addition to serving on the SCCF board, he is also a trustee for the Steuben Lakes Regional Waste District. Previously, he was the president of the bar associations in DeKalb County and Allen County, and he helped start the Northeast Indiana Base Community Council organization, a group working to help with relationships between military units and business leaders in Fort Wayne. Rob was also a member of the DeKalb Chamber Partnership for many years.
Rob and his wife, Jodi, enjoy spending time at the lake with their four children and two grandchildren. He and his wife are also St. Louis Cardinals fans and enjoy going to their games.
Rob likes that Steuben County has a unique combination of opportunities that aren’t available everywhere else – from the resort feeling that surrounds the lakes to the combination of Trine University and a variety of businesses. “It’s an amazing place to live, work and play.”
