Investing in Steuben County’s Future: Three New Designated Funds at SCCF
At the Steuben County Community Foundation, we believe in building a stronger future—one that ensures stability and growth for the organizations serving our community. Nonprofits work to meet critical needs, but sustainability can be a challenge. That’s why we’re excited to announce the establishment of three new designated funds, each designed to provide long-term support for local nonprofits. These funds help secure their futures, allowing them to focus on their missions and make a lasting impact in Steuben County.
The mission of the Angola Performing Arts Academy is to provide diverse, high-quality arts programming for youth regardless of socio-economic limitations and to foster leadership, creativity, community, youth, and economic development in Steuben County and for the surrounding area. APAA Executive Director, Colleen Everage, shared how much this means to the organization, "We are so grateful for community members who support the arts and youth opportunities within the arts, like youth theater! We look forward to this fund growing so we can provide arts opportunities for kids”.

They accomplish this through monthly food distributions that unite various service entities to create a “one-stop shop” for their clients. FYCO Executive Director, Melissa Higbee, shared the significance of this fund to her organization and stated, “Consistent annual financial support ensures we can empower and provide resources to individuals and families in need, strengthening our mission and enhancing our ability to serve.”
