Adam Miller
Chair, Board of Directors
“Everyone should give back to the community they live in, this is just one way that I can do that. I’ve been around Steuben County my entire life and want this county to continue to grow. The SCCF is a perfect example of what people working together can do, and I look forward to helping in that process.”
Adam Miller has been enjoying the lakes in Steuben County for most of his lifetime. He grew up in Auburn, IN, but his family came up each summer to spend time on the water. Adam attended Ball State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Minor in Business.
After graduating, he had an opportunity to return to Angola as a deputy at the sheriff’s office, where he worked for 11 years. Adam has been working at Croxton & Roe Insurance since 2012.
Adam joined the SCCF board of directors in 2017, and he looks forward to getting to know the foundation’s work. He believes Steuben County can become a bustling community with the right investments in infrastructure that attract (and retain!) young families. Adam hopes that SCCF can support and promote quality childcare, recreation activities, and economic opportunities to improve quality of life in the area.
In addition to his board service at SCCF, Adam is on the YMCA board. He and his wife, Emily, are also very involved with their church. When he isn’t busy with his professional and volunteer roles, Adam enjoys spending time with his family on the lake and playing a little golf. He looks forward to raising his three children right here in Steuben County.
