Please take the time to read about life long donor Chuck Sheets as we remember him.
In an interview from 2014, Sheets gets into the reason why he has continued to give through the community foundation, “I think the current board just needs to continue with the success we’ve had. We need to continue to increase and build upon all the great things that have happened in the past few decades. SCCF is good for our community and we do well with it here. The foundation has a broad brush in the community.
Three generations of my family have been here. Giving to the community foundation is a wonderful way to return funds to your community after a long life. It allows you to continue on with your mission of supporting organizations that mean a lot to you in your lifetime. It’s a way to keep that annual support going. I feel good about being able to continue my support.
I am obligated to my community. And SCCF is a way to fulfill that obligation.”
